Mandrake is one of my favourite magical plants…and I love the Foxglove lore…and don’t get me started on Hanukkah Oil…

But Dragon’s Blood is the coolest, imo. Edelweiss is pretty but the lore doesn’t appeal to me all that much, and four leaved clovers make me sorry for treating three leaved ones badly due to genetic differences. Also: dragons are amazing. I do prefer eastern ones but western ones are kinda cool too. Less mysterious and more let’s-kill-everything that goes perfectly with my I-hate-humanity vibe.

I’m a vegetarian when it comes to pens so I went with the Clover. Besides if we are to kill dragons for their blood to put them in pens… what if the pen ends up biting me? What if dragons resurrect? I don’t think my pens are fireproof nor safe from their wrath.

Spoiler alert, I’ll be talking about fires and pens.

Yeah…I saw this like…ten minutes AFTER I read that one? Sorry? I may or may not be on vacation and completely behind on all my notifications? (Don’t ask me how I have time to randomly respond on Reddit, shhh. We don’t talk about that part.)

Dragon’s Blood is apparently sap from a tree? One that’s derived from the one in Hercules’ myths - y’know, the one that grew wherever Ladon bled out? I feel sorry for Ladon. But anyway, Dragon’s Blood has medicinal properties. Got used in a lot of traditional healing. Nowadays it’s just a coloring tool for varnish. Also: depends entirely on what kind of dragon it is. Eastern? Respect them, learn from them, you might become friends. Western? Run for you fricking life.

I had long had the same thoughts about BENU. Then I saw their responses to the war in Ukraine and happened to see a Hexagon-F at my local pen shop, realized how understated the design was (by BENU standards) and picked it up. Then I got the Hanukkah Talisman as a gift this year, which is not at all understated and, in fact, glows in the dark. And I also love that.

I’ll say I definitely picked my first one up mostly because of the fact they fled the country. Eff wars. Then of course I got hooked. And the pens have some sort of a charm that no other pen does. Heh charm… lucky charm…

I love Benu pens. I only have one. It’s a Euphoria. I’ve had more but the story behind the brand and their vision is just amazing. Green beer? Not my jam. I don’t need to pee green water. Actually the whole concept is just an excuse to drink. I don’t need an excuse. Just do it.

Couldn’t agree more. By the way, the Euphoria is noticeably bigger than Talisman which makes sense; when you’re happy everyone needs to know.
