From the swatch on MOuntian of INk which is a lot like mine it does look similar but more saturated. I have just ordered Van Dieman's Ink Diluter solution and am very excited about it, so will try adding a dab to Robert when it arrives! Here is a link to it if you are interested:
I’m getting Robert in a few weeks so we shall see then. I’m a bit stumped that out of all the inks out there, this one is the one I can’t figure out a dupe or replacement!
Of course you have the 1984 ink. Of course you do. And of course you haven’t opened it.
Wait…is the world ending? You said you love a green ink?!! That ink is def going into my wishlist - if you approve, this ink must be pre-tty spectacular. Also, confession. I’ve never used Robert Oster inks. Sorry? Not widely available here? *ducks head as rotten mushy bananas come flying out of the abyss*
That being said, you have turned me onto Prickly Pear. I need this ink. Make a petition and I’ll sign it. Red? Yaaas. Green sheen? Holy snitch I am here for it. Sheens ON CRAPPY PAPER?! As someone who deals with crappy paper every. single. day… Van Dieman if any of your people read this blog then please. For the sake of these poor souls. Please.
Black N Blue is technically green although I can’t tell so you’re technically right but my reality is mine!
I tagged PenChalet and I’m hoping to bore them into acquiescence. And then the meanies who voted Meh can see for themselves that there are dozens of us who like it!

Excellent, it’s going on my wishlist!
So how did Robert compare with Prickly Pear? I have Robert and it seems more saturated than the Prickly Pear swatches I have seen.

Have you tried Diamine Writer's Blood? The sheen is much more subtle, but it's there.
I have indeed; it is much darker than VDPP, although I love it.
Speaking of different inks, I’ve tried the Sailor 931 — not the same, sadly.

Is it like a dark dark green? Or a more yellow green? (That would be weird since its name is Black n blue buut…)
Wouldn’t Van Dieman be the one you HAVE to convince? They’re the ones who know the recipe. And they could release it as a non limited edition…
You are really funny! I love reading your posts. Great job.
It is all truth. And my mum also says I’m funny! My wife — not so much. Thank you!
